September Statewide Meeting Recap

We had a  great meeting at Forsyth Technical Communicaty College on Thursday, September 22, 2016. The Star Award Winning Project “B/E Aerospace Developmental Lab” was our highlight. We heard from team members: Leo Stepansky, Shelco, Paige Smith, West & Stem, Toby Hill, Shelco, and Manan Adhyaru, S&ME, Inc.

June 16, 2016 Statewide Meeting | Charlotte

We had a great crowd for the Summer Statewide meeting at UNC-Charlotte. Meeting provided information & tours of the Holshouser Renovation.
We heard from project team members about the challenges of renovating a campus building to fit in with the updated campus scheme. Members came from Greensboro, Raleigh, and Charlotte to tour the Star Award winning project. Click here to view photos from this event.

2016 Annual Conference Recap

The CPN Annual Conference was held May 6-8, 2016 at The Sea Pines Resort, Harbour Town Inn, Hilton Head, SC. CPN members and guests from around the state “weathered the storm” for a terrific weekend of fellowship. Highlights included:

  • A welcome reception on “The Pier” complete with live music, seafood, a dolphin sighting, and a beautiful sunset.
  • The 2016-17 CPN of CPNI Board of Directors were voted in and took their oath of office.
  • Keynote Speaker Ted Abernathy, Economic Leadership,  held a lively discussion on the NC Economy and trends that are shaping our competitiveness. Download his presentation here from Dropbox.

April 2016 Steeplechase Social Pictures

CPN members enjoyed a Saturday of horse racing, tailgating, fun, and fellowship at the Stoneybrook 65th Annual Steeplechase at the Carolina Horsepark in Raeford, NC. Another fantastic social planned by Bobbi Brumsey, Osborne Brumsey & Associates, CPN Social Chair. Check out the photos and fun!

A Regional Glance at February…

CPN is divided into regions representing each area of the state of NC. Western, Piedmont, and Eastern. Each region has been hosting non-formal events across the state for members to learn, snag CEU’s, and get to know each other. Events like lunch and learns hosted by CPN members, to a brewery gathering, and a cooking school French feast…take a look at what’s been going on so far this year.



January 2016 Statewide Meeting Recap

The January statewide membership meeting was held in the eastern region at 302 W. Main Street in Durham, NC. Members and guests gathered to get updates on the association, CPNI volunteer trips, and learn about Self-Help. Kim Cameron, Team Leader, Self Help Real Estate Team went gave a good portfolio of the projects that Self Help is involved with in Durham and Greensboro. After the program, attendees gathered at 21C Museum Hotel in downtown Durham for drinks, appetizers, and networking. (21C Museum has glass door bathrooms that fog over when occupied…something worth checking out!)
